4020 SPRING EXHIBITION from 12th MARCH until 6th APRIL 2022 at the QUESTORS THEATRE W5 , Grapevine Bar
(opening times 7 – 11pm Mon to Saturday 12.30 to 3pm on Sunday)
Borough of Ealing Art Trail 2022
Some of our members once again took part in the 2021 BEAT (Borough of Ealing Art Trail) during the middle two weekends of September. We were very fortunate to secure a venue in the Grapevine Bar at The Questors Theatre in central Ealing and we enjoyed exhibiting our artworks there. There was considerable interest in our work and the classes we offer, it was very good to speak with many visitors and fellow artists, and a range of items was sold.
This coming year BEAT will happen on 10-11 and 17-18 September, and we are again hoping to mount an exhibition of our artworks at a venue TBA. Do watch this space and see you there!
Borough of Ealing Art Trail 2021
Some of the 4020 Art Group are excited to be exhibiting this year at the ‘Ealing BEAT’ Borough of Ealing Art Trail this year kindly hosted by The Questors Theatre venue 22+ (maps) Come and see us on the weekends of 11–12th and 18–19th September 2021. Vicky will also be exhibiting her own works at the theatre.
Back to the Art Room
The group were given the go-ahead to return to face-to-face classes from 17th May. Numbers are limited and safety precautions are in place but it is a very welcome step.
Shifting to Teaching Online
The start of the pandemic coincided with the start of a new tutor – Vicky Saumarez, in the spring of 2020. Unable to meet at the studio, some members of the group were able to continue to meet and create at the Framfield Allotments in Hanwell, enjoying the beautiful summer weather and producing a fabulous variety of work as seen in the allotments gallery. We are most grateful to the allotment holders for their hospitality.
As the weather went downhill, to stop spirits heading the same direction, teaching shifted online and the new norm became weekly classes via Zoom which Vicky calls ‘4020 Art Club’. The classes produce some super work as seen in the gallery which is updated regularly.
